Billing for Switching Tiers

Upgrading

We only charge the price difference between your current tier and your desired tier to upgrade to.

For example, you are currently subscribed to a Basic tier for $50/month, and you want to upgrade to a Plus tier for $100/month, you would only need $50 to cover the difference. You will receive an invoice once we process it for you.

Switching tiers with discounts

The discount will be applied on the difference of the price between the tier you wish to upgrade or downgrade to.

For example, if you are currently subscribed to a CTFd Instance at the Basic tier for $50/month, and you want to upgrade to the Professional tier for $300/month, you would need $250 to cover the difference. But if you have discount of 50%, it will be applied to the $250 difference, which results to a $125 charge.

You will receive an invoice once we process the upgrade for you.
